Because we are investing in new and unknown authors we do not pay out advances for our first time authors.
All authors are paid royalties on each book sold. The amount of the royalty is determined during contract negotiation. It is based on printing costs and the agreed upon retail price of the book. If the book is sold on Amazon.com at a discount, the author will receive the same royalty as if the book were sold at full retail price.
Authors may purchase books for their own purposes from Tex Ware. Authors receive a substantial discount that is also specified in the contract. They will not receive any royalties for their own purchases.
Authors in the state of Washington who plan on reselling their own books must provide Tex Ware with a current business id or pay sales tax on their purchases.
